Rogue and Brassy
I got Brassy Halloween, 2005, as a companion for Mouse. She is a 16hh, chestnut Thoroughbred mare registered as "Brass Tactics". Once upon a time, Brassy was a racehorse, but she didn't do overly well, so she was retired as a riding horse, and as a broodmare. Brassy is an incredibly sweet mare, but she does had difficulty holding her weight during the summer months. Because I suspect that her issues arise from a combination of sugar intolerance, and hormone-related muscle atrophy, I did try to have her bred in 2006, but unfortunately, she did not catch. So for now, I will work on getting her weight up for winter (which, ironically, is the only time she gets fat!).
Rogue is Brassy's 2005 colt, whom I bought in January, 2006. Rogues registered name is "Highland Rebel", since he belongs to Highland Clover Farm, and his sire's name is Rebmec. He is the same colour as Brassy (bright orange, I mean, chestnut), and should finish off just as tall as she is. He has a really sweet temperament, and very nice conformation. So far, no issues with him, and I hope to keep it that way, as Rogue has a bright future ahead of him.
